1. OUT OF BOUNDS beyond any fence, hedge or white posts marking the boundary of the Course and white posts marking the area around the Clubhouse and practice putting greens. Also the Green-keepers shed and enclosure, carpark and practice area to the left of the 18th hole as marked by white posts. The boards at the rear of the 3rd green form the Out of Bounds boundary and free relief is NOT available, therefore the player may elect to declare a ball unplayable and proceed under Rule 28.

3. WATER HAZARDS (yellow stakes)
a) The ponds on the right of the 2nd fairway and short right of the 12th green.
b) The ditches between the 12th and 13th fairways and between the 13th and 14th fairways, the 2 ditches to the right of the 12th fairway and the section of the ditch approaching the 12th green that is marked with yellow stakes.
c) the ditch across the approach to the 14th green

a)The ditch beyond the bridge to the left of the 12th green and right of the furthest right crossing point of the ditch on the approach to the 12th green ( from approx. 1/4/14)
b)The ditch between the 13th and 15th tees
c)The ponds beyond and to the immediate right of the 12th green. ( If a players ball is in a pond an additional option to proceeding under Rule 26-1 is that the player may, under penalty of one stroke, drop a ball in the dropping zone provided adjacent to each pond). Note: in order to treat the ball as lost in the pond there must be reasonable evidence to that effect. (Rule 26-1)

Including all artificially surfaced pathways. All paths, including the public by-way crossing the 11th and 15th holes and alongside the left of the 14th hole , but with the exception of grass paths, are deemed to have artificial surfaces and relief MAY be taken. If a ball comes to rest on the artificial paths leading from the 1st, 10th or 11th tees relief MUST be taken without penalty. The half-way house and surrounds are classed as immovable and relief may be taken if a ball lies on them or if they interfere with the player’s stance or intended swing. There is no relief purely for impairment of “line of sight”.

6. STAKED, FENCED and/or GAITERED TREES/SHRUBS are immovable obstructions and relief MUST be taken in accordance with Rule 24-2.

All fixed sprinkler heads and distance plates are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2. In addition , if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief, without penalty, as follows:- If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which:
a) Is not nearer the hole
b) Avoids such intervention and
c) Is not in a hazard or on a putting green.

DMD’s are allowed.

12th hole: If a ball is in or it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in either water hazard, the player should proceed as follows:
Hazard behind the green: Drop a ball , under penalty of one stroke, in the Dropping Zone.
Hazard to the right of the green: Under penalty of one stroke, proceed under Rule 26 or drop a ball in the Dropping Zone.

10. GROUND UNDER REPAIR. Play is prohibited from all areas of GUR and full relief must be taken, without penalty, at the nearest point, if a ball lies in an area of GUR or if there is interference of the players stance or swing.

11. When a player's ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment.  The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1.

Stroke Play- Two strokes
Match Play- Loss of Hole.
